Título: US business owner shoots dead employees, self in St. Louis

Texto: “In another US shooting a business owner has shot dead three of his employees and then himself in central state of Missouri.

Two women and two men were killed in the Thursday incident that occurred at a healthcare business in the major city of St. Louis, according to police.
"The gentleman who killed the other three people inside the office appeared to have an argument with others and at some point opened fire with a weapon," said St. Louis Police Capt. Michael Sack told reporters in a Thursday press briefing.

The argument, Sack noted, “appeared to be brief,” although he did not elaborate how he made such determination and the cause of the dispute.

Meanwhile, local press reports identified the business where the shooting took place as AK Home Health Care, which shared a building with other businesses.

The ages of those killed ranged from early 40s to mid-50s, but their identities were not released pending notification of their immediate relatives.

A semiautomatic handgun was found next to the owner's body, police said.

According to the authorities, no one was injured in the incident and there were no witnesses to the shooting.

Shooting incidents across the US continue unabated as the nation’s lawmakers have refused to consider legislation to better control guns and even enforce stricter background checks for gun buyers following last December’s shooting massacre of 20 children and 7 adults at a Connecticut Elementary School.

Every year, more than 30,000 people are shot and killed in the US.

The United States averages 87 shooting deaths per day as the result of gun violence, with an average of 183 injured, according to the University of Chicago Crime Lab and the Centers for Disease Control.”
